I have the 12 round magazine in my p365 magazine, which gives it the same length grip as the XL and feel as well, but only difference is a shorter barrel. Granted a longer barrel for holster carry is not that much of a difference, but as a CCW gun,..." Tell us what you think. Leave your questions and comments below.

Over the last 20 years, Ive trended smaller from a Walther P99 all the way down to a Ruger LCP (the little gun you have with you is better than...etc). The P365 is a great choice for me to have that many 9mm rounds in a small package. If I feel like I want more rounds, I have the 12 and 15 round magazines. I still may get an XL in coyote, well, just because. :)

With a $40 investment, you can purchase the XL grip and upgrade your 365 and it becomes a nicer package~

Because HE FAILED TO MENTION. You can buy a 365 frame and put it on the 365xl. You will have to also buy the mag which runs around $50. length doesnt mater in carry, but height does. Wish hed done his homework first.

Which one did your wife prefer, because my wife likes the way the 365 feels in hand ( she never shot either) but I want her to have the xl due to more options

Will the xl mag over insert into regular 365 when the slide is locked back?

It appears these shooters were having to take longer time sighting and shooting the XL than the standard 365

Trump just bought me a p365 XL with a Romeo Zero optic and I really like it so far. That's what that money was for, right? Didn't really need it but it's much smaller and thinner than my old Glock 26 with the same capacity, and even have a 15 round backup magazine on the way. I will say even the beaver tail does poke into my beer gut sometimes when I'm sitting down sometimes, but other than that I really love it. I had no idea I'd love the flat faced trigger as much as I do. It's not the end all be all, but it's very nice but I don't have any desire to go back to shooting without a flat faced trigger. Really enjoy it so far.

This was an excellent comparison video! In the end I went for the XL... My EDC was a Springfield Armory XD-E so I went from 26oz with a 9+1 with the extended magazine to the XLs 20oz with a 12+1 magazine. It feels great to carry and eventually Ill pickup the 15 rd magazine for a spare... which will give me 9 rounds more in total compared to my old EDC setup... along with a much lighter yet better shooting conceal gun.

I have both the XL and normal 365. So here's my take. I have the 12 round magazine in my p365 magazine, which gives it the same length grip as the XL and feel as well, but only difference is a shorter barrel. Granted a longer barrel for holster carry is not that much of a difference, but as a CCW gun, the length of the barrel don't matter that much to me. So with the 365 and 12 round mag, I get the same ergonomics with a shorter barrel. The shorter barrel to me for CCW in regards of accuracy is so minute, but there's a little bit of weight savings. So the 365 with the 12 round mag wins for me, mariginally, but since its lighter and smaller it wins.

I am surprised you gave the nod to the XL. Looked to me like you were shooting the 365 faster and more accurate in the video than you were the 365xl. She was obviously doing much better with the regular 365 also.

Too many people easily overthink too many things, all I know is I'll spend more time caring then I would shooting so Comforts is number one and if you'll suck at shooting with a particular gun. then I guess you'll have to spend more time at the shooting range.

One thing, for big guys the beaver tail does stick you in the fatty fats a bit. I have both. Still acceptable but p365 is like its not there at all. P365xl shoots a bit more accurately longer distances, not by miles but enough to matter if you want to take out the church shooter at 15 yards with a single headshot.

Bought P365 tacpac with three 12rd mags. Since it is for concealed carry I wanted ability for smallest footprint, but extra 12 rd mags for full grip and higher capacity. The tacpac also came with inexpensive polymer holster suitable for safely covering trigger of loaded pistol. Love the front sights. Love the trigger pull. Love the magic of a small grip that works like a larger grip. No effort at all to shoot accurately out of the box with HST 124gr +P. Nov 2019 manufacture date with no evident primer drag. No buyers regret at all.

I like your videos. I think the XL is the better choice. Longer slide = longer recoil spring. The two spring recoil assembly seems to be problematic. My XL is about 1/2 inch shorter than my M&P 380 EZ, has 12 rather than 8 rounds and is 9 mm instead of 380 which means a slight heavier bullet and more powder charge.

Good Video thanks, Only thing I don't like on XL is Rear Sight is so wide is would obscure when searching for target too much, even the reg 365 a bit too much in that arena too having shot it again today in light CCW 9mm vs .45 on two targets challenge today, but XL sight much worse and they put that on other sig pistols too. Want to play w an SAS sometime.

Why not compare the p365 with a 12 round mag in it to the XL on the grip length aspect

Comment on: Monday, September 23rd, 2019 by MARK CRAWFORD
The way I see it they both are designed to be concealed carry guns, so for me the regular P365 is the better choice.

Ive owned and shot both the 365 and XL. Bottom line, XL shoots better because theres less muzzle flip BUT day to day carry, the 365 is my fave. The reason, the 365 is a true micro pistol where the XL even thin, is heading toward the compact sizes with its almost 4 inch barrel. So the XL is starting to compete with the length of an M&P 2.0 Compact (which I own and carry) or the Model 19. Since the compacts already carry 15 or 17 round mags, Id rather downsize to the 365 for 11 rounds and a total concealable and comfortable pistol.

Great video! My EDC is a Taurus G2C. Some of you may laugh, but its been 100% reliable, comes with 2 12 round mags, easy to conceal, and I shoot better with it than most of my expensive guns. And if it gets lost, stolen, or confiscated by LE because I had to use it, Ill get another one for less than $200. Still, I would like to see a comparison between the XL and the G2C. Im a Sig fan so Im looking to justify the purchase of one of these 2. By the way, the Taurus will accept the Sig p226 18 or 20 round mag.

I would have to say the P365 since I have 2 of them one with the safety one without. They shoot great and are very concealable.

If I did buy one itd be the 365 because of the option of a smaller concealed carry option and opt for a 12 round back up mag. Then Id have my priest bless it so the striker wouldnt break ......
|
Comment on: Monday, September 16th, 2019 by 2 A HOLES
I cant decided between these too. I like that the XL didnt seem to have striker drag. Im thinking if I intended to pocket carry at all Id get the 365.

I bought the XL when it came out at the local gun show and am very pleased. I conceal carry Kydex IWB w/TLR-6 for verification as needed. I like the longer slide for a little less snap, Romeo 0 option, flat trigger is great, and the .5 longer grip surface with the 12 rd mag works really well for my hand. Nice to have the 15 rd mag as a reload. I get a good one hand purchase from conceal and keep my off hand for up close and personal if needed.

Love my P365XL. Took it to the range today, 250 rounds no issues. The gun is great, dont really care for the X-RAY night sights. Arent really that bright in the day or night. But overall the gun is A+.

In California the extra rounds are mute since we are limited to 10 round mags, not to mention they are not on our roster. They are available and can be purchased legally by private party transfer. I have the P365 and carry AIWB, sweet pistol...

I love the 365 concept, but just can't get past all the initial issues. I will probably get one after they've been out a few years, but just don't trust them yet. Also, given that Shield Arms has now started preorders for 15 round G43X/48 mags, I'll definitely have a tough time justifying the switch. Preemptive "chill out I'm not attacking your gun" to all the Sign owners.
